Function
Summary:
It is soft flexible, silicone device with a one-way valve that allows secretions from a woman's cervix to pass through, yet does not allow sperm to get into the uterus and has a loop for easy insertion and removal. Insert it through the vagina to fit over the cervix. It can be used with spermicide. Lea can be inserted hours before intercourse. After intercourse leave it in for a minimum of 8 hours and no more than 24 hours.
Details:
While inserting lea�contraceptivum into the vagina air is displaced, for that leaving through the integrated valve. This creats suction holding lea�contraceptivum in place. lea�contraceptivum covers the opening of the uterus without being held by the cervix, but because of the suction. The back thick lip of the cup is designed to fill the pocket-like space behind the cervix. The valve allows one-way flow of fluid from the cervix to the vagina but not vice-versa. Once lea�contraceptivum is sucked in position, sperm can not travel up the valve.
IMPORTANT: After the last intercourse leave it in for a minimum of 8 hours!

Inserting

Insert lea contraceptivum like a tampon as far as possible into the vagina.
Walk some steps: lea�contraceptivum slips into the safe position.
As a check:
Again seize the loop and pull easily.
If resistance is perceptible, the seat is perfect.
Note:
If one gives a haselnut-size quantity of [spermicidal jelly] before introduction into and on lea�contraceptivum, this increases [Safety / Effectiveness ].

Removal

For contraceptive effectiveness lea�contraceptivum should be left in place at least eight hours after the last occurrence of sexual intercourse.
To remove, grasp the control loop and gently twist it to break the suction. Or simply tuck the finger slowly under the edge. If the suction is broken, you can pull you out easily.

lea�contraceptivum can be left in up to 48 hours.
For this you can insert lea�contraceptivum a long time before having sex.
Also you can have sex during this duration several times. Thus much room for sexual spontanity is given.
With repeated sex an additional insertion of spermicide is not necessary.
